EN247, between the mountains and the sea
EN247 connects Peniche to Cascais and, after a short distance, you’re able to see the beauty that surrounds it. The route starts in Colares, in the north-south direction. This trip has impeccably designed curves and you will be able to breathe the air from the Sintra Mountains. When you reach the foot of the mountain, you are gifted with an amazing view of the immense ocean. This view will be the perfect company for the rest of your trip to Cascais.
EN2, the heritage road
Between Chaves and Faro, you will drive 737 kilometres on one of the longest roads in the world. EN2 has, since 2003, a heritage section between Almodôvar and São Brás de Alportel. Over its kilometres and, as you go tearing through the country, you find everything – winding curves, endless straight roads, green tunnels and picturesque villages.
EN246-1, where Alentejo rises
In the entire region of Alentejo, you find endless plains. But it is where the region rises that a small road worth discovering is hidden. The EN246-1 variant connects Castelo de Vide to Marvão, rising to the top of the mountain. You assure you that this path has some breathtaking landscapes.
EN112, the high road
EN112 starts right at the top of the Serra do Açor and it joins Portela do Vento to Castelo Branco. There are 94 kilometres of mountainous formations of Serra da Lousã and Serra da Estrela. The panoramic views are constant and there are many points where you can stop to contemplate all the beauty.
EN230, the road in the mountain
A road that connects the coast of Portugal to the interior of the country, from Aveiro to Covilhã, through the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The whole route is breathtaking and the surprises start on the stretch that begins near Teixeira to Pedras Lavradas. You will enjoy not only the epic landscapes but also all the hospitality of the people from the region.
EN267, the rural road
In the Algarve, from São Marcos da Serra, in Silves, to Monchique, you will discover the mountains, passing through typical villages, such as Alferce, which reflects the toponymy of Arab origin. In Monchique, right on the summit of Fóia, you will find a breathtaking landscape with the sea fully uncovered.
EN222, the riverside
This short route, which connects Peso da Régua to Pinhão, has already been honoured to be among the best in the world. Throughout the route, you are gifted with the Douro river, from the terraces of vineyards to lose sight of the huge farms.
